About our Pastor
Kenny Rice was born in Compton, California in 1950. He dropped out of school in the 10th grade and
began a 20 year spree of violence, crime and drugs which included a 15 year prison sentence.
Kenny’s life drastically changed in 1985 when he heard about Set Free Christian Fellowship in
Anaheim, California.  It was there that Kenny surrendered his life to the Lord Jesus Christ and began
Discipleship Training.

Kenny was ordained by Set Free in 1992 and went into full time ministry.  He was then sent to
Washington State to establish a Set Free Church.

In 1998 Kenny partnered with the Northwest Baptist Convention and the Puget Sound Baptist
Association and for the next 7 years planted 5 more churches which formed Set Free – Pacific
Northwest.

In July 2005, God began to speak to Kenny about a new work in Georgia.  God confirmed this calling
in many ways in the months following.

In November 2005 Kenny, his lovely wife Judy along with their son, Michael moved to Dahlonega,
Georgia.  Kenny then partnered with Set Free – Atlanta for the purpose of establishing Georgia’s First
Southern Baptist Biker Church.

On January 7, 2006 Kenny established Set Free Biker Tabernacle in Dahlonega.
